How much does it cost to migrate to Shopify?
The cost to migrate to Shopify depends on catalog depth, B2B account structure and the systems that have to stay in sync, so Uncap quotes every migration as a fixed scope after a scoping call. Shopify charges no setup fees on its plans. Most projects start with Uncap Blueprint: $7,500, four weeks, credited toward implementation.

Shopify says there are no setup fees on any of its plans. You pay the plan itself. Paid monthly, Shopify lists Basic at $39, Grow at $105 and Advanced at $399 a month, and Shopify Plus starts at $2,300 a month. Paid yearly, the same three plans cost $29, $79 and $299 a month, compared with the monthly rates above.
Shopify lists the Plus fee for standard setups and integrations. For more complex, higher-volume businesses it says there might be a variable platform fee based on revenue and business model, which differs for B2B and direct-to-consumer companies.
A few other lines can apply:
- Payments: third-party transaction fees may apply when you use a third-party payment provider instead of Shopify Payments, at a rate that depends on your plan.
- Partner work: on its Shopify Plus page, Shopify says that if you require custom development, you should factor in costs for Shopify Plus Partners.
- Theme and apps: the same page names one-time theme purchases and third-party apps as other potential costs.
B2B features are included at no extra cost on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Shopify Plus plans, so B2B does not add a Shopify fee of its own.
What drives the migration cost
Shopify lists the ways to move a store, from the least to the most technically complex: copy and paste content, export to CSV files and import them, use a migration app from the Shopify App Store, hire a Shopify Partner, or build a custom migration with the Shopify API. It says the best option for each type of content depends on the amount and complexity of the data.
Shopify's own Store Migration app is free and moves product and customer data from platforms such as WooCommerce, Square and Wix. Whether an app covers a B2B store is a separate question, answered in is a Shopify migration app enough for B2B.
For B2B operators, the cost comes from the parts an import does not touch:
- Pricing rules: how many price lists you run, whether a price belongs to a company or a location, and whether the price has to come from the ERP at the moment of the order.
- Buyer workflows: quotes, net terms, purchase orders, reorders and account self-service.
- ERP integration: orders, inventory and customer data that must keep syncing after cutover.
- Search: redirects for your important pages, which Shopify says help preserve your SEO ranking. See what happens to SEO when you migrate.
Time is the other driver. A migration from another platform typically takes 10 to 16 weeks, and our median cutover is around 14 weeks. The Shopify B2B migration timeline breaks down where those weeks go.
How Uncap prices a migration
We do not publish a build price range, because a range wide enough to be true for every B2B operation would tell you nothing about yours. Every Shopify migration is fixed scope and quoted after a scoping call.
Two prices are published:
- Uncap Blueprint: a $7,500 fixed-price plan delivered in four weeks and credited toward implementation. It is where most migrations start. See Uncap Blueprint.
- Uncap Connect: if your ERP must keep syncing, Uncap Connect starts at $8,000 for onboarding and then a flat $390 per month, with no per-record fees. See Uncap Connect.
