Plans and cost

Do I need Shopify Plus for B2B? (full guide)
No. Since April 2026, most B2B features run on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, including companies, net payment terms and up to 3 active catalogs across your B2B markets. Plus is required for unlimited B2B market catalogs, direct company catalogs, deposits, partial payments, payment requests per fulfillment, and custom apps that use Shopify Function APIs.
How many B2B catalogs can you have without Shopify Plus?
Without Shopify Plus, you can assign up to 3 active catalogs across all your B2B markets on the Basic, Grow and Advanced plans. The limit is store-wide: 3 catalogs on one market uses all of it. Shopify Plus adds unlimited B2B market catalogs and direct catalog assignment to companies and company locations.
How much does Shopify B2B cost? (full guide)
B2B features are included at no extra cost on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, with up to 3 active B2B catalogs below Plus. Shopify lists Basic at $39, Grow at $105 and Advanced at $399 a month paid monthly, and Plus from $2,300 a month. The build, ERP integration and apps are separate.
How much does Shopify Plus cost? (full guide)
Shopify Plus costs $2,300 USD a month on a 3-year term or $2,500 USD a month on a 1-year term, which is $27,600 or $30,000 a year. Shopify lists those fees for standard setups and integrations and says more complex, higher-volume businesses might pay a variable platform fee. Card and third-party transaction fees, apps and themes come on top.

B2B features

Can you run B2B and DTC from one Shopify store? (full guide)
Yes. Shopify calls it a blended store: one Shopify admin and one online store for all customers, with the same theme and shared inventory. Business buyers sign in as part of a company and see the catalogs, prices and payment terms assigned to them, while direct-to-consumer (DTC) shoppers buy from the same store.
Can B2B buyers request a quote on Shopify? (full guide)
Yes, through draft orders. On the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, staff can quote a negotiated price on a B2B draft order and lock it with a price lock, and you can have a company location submit every order as a draft for your review. In the native flow, your staff build or review each quote.
How do customer-specific prices work in Shopify B2B? (full guide)
Through B2B catalogs. A catalog sets which products a company location can see and what they cost, using an overall percentage adjustment, fixed prices and volume pricing. On Basic, Grow and Advanced, catalogs reach buyers through B2B markets, up to 3 active across the store. Shopify Plus also lets you assign catalogs directly to companies and locations.
Does Shopify B2B support net payment terms? (full guide)
Yes. On the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, you set payment terms for a company or a company location: net 7, 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 days from the order date, or due on fulfillment. Draft orders can also use a fixed due date. Buyers can pay any time before the due date, and deposits need Plus.
How do I set up B2B on Shopify? (full guide)
Turn on customer accounts, then create company accounts, build pricing catalogs, set payment terms, set up B2B markets and the wholesale registration form, test the buyer experience, and add Shopify Flow automations. Since April 2026 the native B2B features run on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, so you do not need Plus or a wholesale app to start.
Is Shopify good for B2B? (full guide)
Yes, when your wholesale model fits companies, catalogs and payment terms. On the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, Shopify B2B covers company accounts, catalog pricing, net terms, PO numbers and self-serve reordering natively. The fit depends on your catalog count, payment needs and ERP connection, so budget for the integrations around it.

ERP and systems

Can Shopify do EDI? (full guide)
Through an integration. Shopify's B2B help lists three ways to connect outside systems: direct integrations from the Shopify App Store, iPaaS providers that sit in the middle, and custom API builds. EDI with trading partners runs through that kind of middleware layer, which turns documents such as the 850 purchase order into Shopify orders.
How do you integrate an ERP with Shopify? (full guide)
Shopify's B2B help lists three ways: direct integrations from the Shopify App Store, including the five apps in its Global ERP Program, iPaaS providers that sit in the middle, and custom API-based builds. Products, inventory, prices, customers and orders then sync, with the ERP as the system of record. Shopify warns that some App Store integrations aren't fully B2B compatible.
Is Shopify a PIM? (full guide)
Shopify handles commerce execution: inventory, pricing, checkout and orders. A PIM (product information management) system adds governance over the product data itself, sitting between your data sources, such as the ERP, suppliers and internal teams, and the storefront. With under 500 SKUs, simple attributes and one sales channel, Shopify's native product management and metafields may be sufficient.

Migration

Can customer passwords be migrated to Shopify?
No, not with a CSV import. Shopify says that because passwords are encrypted outside of Shopify, you can't migrate customer passwords from another online store using a CSV. For B2B this matters less: B2B requires Shopify's customer accounts, and with sign-in links turned on, buyers sign in with their email and a one-time 6-digit code instead of a password.
How long does a Shopify B2B migration take? (full guide)
A Shopify B2B migration from another platform typically takes 10 to 16 weeks, and Uncap's median cutover is around 14 weeks. Catalog depth, B2B account structure, and how many systems (ERP, PIM, CRM) have to stay in sync set the length. The ERP integration is the longest single workstream inside it.
How much does it cost to migrate to Shopify?
The cost to migrate to Shopify depends on catalog depth, B2B account structure and the systems that have to stay in sync, so Uncap quotes every migration as a fixed scope after a scoping call. Shopify charges no setup fees on its plans. Most projects start with Uncap Blueprint: $7,500, four weeks, credited toward implementation.
Is a Shopify migration app enough for a B2B store?
Sometimes. A Shopify migration app or CSV import can be enough for a small catalog with simple pricing: Shopify's free Store Migration app moves product and customer data from platforms such as WooCommerce, Square and Wix. A B2B replatform usually needs more, because companies, catalogs, payment terms, redirects and an ERP that keeps syncing all need a plan.
What happens to SEO when you migrate to Shopify?
When you migrate to Shopify, your SEO depends on redirects. Shopify says redirecting your important pages helps preserve your SEO ranking, and Shopify uses fixed paths such as /products and /collections. Map each old URL to its new page with a 301 redirect, carry over titles and meta descriptions, and submit your sitemap.xml to Google.

Platforms

Is BigCommerce the same as Shopify? (full guide)
No. BigCommerce and Shopify are separate ecommerce platforms from separate companies. On BigCommerce, B2B comes through B2B Edition, which you request by installing the B2B Edition app and contacting BigCommerce support. On Shopify, B2B is part of the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans. Even the plan names differ: BigCommerce has a Growth plan, Shopify a Grow plan.
Is commercetools like Shopify? (full guide)
Not in how it is delivered. commercetools describes its platform as headless, cloud-native and API-first, with order-based pricing through its sales team. Shopify includes hosting with every plan, publishes its plan prices, and puts B2B features on its Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans.
Is Magento the same as Shopify? (full guide)
No. Magento and Adobe Commerce come from Adobe, and Shopify is a separate platform. Adobe says on-premises projects, including self-hosted Magento Open Source, run on customer-managed infrastructure, while Shopify includes hosting with every plan. On Adobe Commerce, B2B comes from a B2B extension you install and enable; on Shopify, it is part of the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans.
Is Salesforce Commerce Cloud the same as Shopify? (full guide)
No. Salesforce Commerce Cloud is Salesforce's commerce product, and Shopify is a separate platform made by Shopify. Salesforce lists its Commerce Cloud B2C Premium and B2B Growth editions with Contact for Pricing, while Shopify publishes plan prices. On Shopify, B2B features are part of the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans.
Is Shopify a B2B or B2C platform? (full guide)
Both. Shopify B2B is a set of wholesale features in the Shopify admin, and a blended store runs B2B and direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales from one store and admin. Business buyers sign in as part of a company and see their own catalogs, prices and payment terms. B2B runs on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans.
Is Shopware the same as Shopify? (full guide)
No. Shopware is made by shopware AG and Shopify is made by Shopify. Shopware's free Community Edition gives you the source code, and Shopware offers SaaS, PaaS or self-hosted setups, while Shopify includes hosting with every plan. Shopware lists B2B components from its Evolve plan; on Shopify, B2B is part of the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans.
