Shirley's Popcorn

The Who

Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn, a family-owned and operated company, provides mouth-watering, theater-style popcorn directly to your doorstep. It’s handmade popcorns, offered both online and in physical retail stores, feature unique flavors and premium ingredients. The company also helps businesses “butter up” their clients with corporate gift bags and customized tins.

The Problem

Shirley's Popcorn had separate Point of Sale (POS) systems for its online and physical stores, and its reward systems were also split. Customers using rewards or gift cards needed different accounts for purchases online or IRL, leaving a less-than-savory taste in their mouths.

The Solution

Uncap completely redesigned the website on Shopify, working with Shirley’s to migrate all website and customer data to its new platform. Our team then developed their customized technology stack with various tools for scaling their online presence. Finally, the in-store and online POS and rewards systems were converged to create a seamless customer experience across both channels. It was a Hollywood ending.

The Results

  • An advanced Shopify-based platform to replace the legacy system
  • The migration of website data, customer information, subscription data and other business info to the new platform.
  • A better designed and more functional website
  • The integration of both online and in-store reward system for improved customer experience

"“I was very nervous heading into such a large project, but Uncap made it far smoother and easier than I imagined. They are incredibly responsive, honest and innovative. We look forward to a long and successful relationship. The Uncap team is unmatched, and we look forward to a long and successful relationship!” Pete Suter, CEO"
